I promise I'll post something else in here sometime. But 15 minute ficlets are what are happening at the moment. Perhaps indicative of my current attention span? Let's hope not.

“That’s really...very...” She sputtered, searching for the right adjective.
“What?” He grinned rakishly.
“Juvenile.” Ororo didn’t look up from across the room at them.
“Well, we can’t all be as mature as you, cherie.” He smirked slightly, as several people laughed.
Rogue stormed out of the cafeteria, fighting to control herself. He was just so idiotic sometimes. Sure, everyone knew he loved a good prank now and then. It was part of what made him so charming. But honestly, he could at least be clever about it. Salt-sprinkled cupcakes? She shook her head. It was really ridiculous.
“Hey,” he jogged slightly to catch up with her. “One minute, cher.”
“Yeah?” She turned on her heel and gave him an appraising look.
“I didn’t mean to embarrass you.” He flipped a coin absently as he spoke. “I just...” She studied him for a moment, and he looked away, uncharacteristically a bit awkward. “Sorry.”
She let a moment pass before she replied. “Apology accepted. But ya might wanna try something a bit more creative next time.” She didn’t quite smile, running her fingers through her hair. “If I’m gonna be the butt of your jokes, they may as well be a little more clever.”
He rewarded her with a stunning smile and a mock salute. She thought she detected something else...perhaps gratitude? A moment later, she was sure she had imagined it. “I’ll do my best, cher.” He strode down the corridor, the picture of confidence once more, and if it occurred to Rogue to wonder why he was always pulling pranks on her, she didn’t give it any serious reflection. Remy was just Remy...pranks, rakish smile, and playing cards. Never mind that the ace of hearts had been popping up more and more frequently of late.
