dolevalanSo I was inspired by this silly little Harry Potter meme to do some character-based writing. All five are original characters of mine; 4 for game, one from a story.
DISCLAIMER: If you RP with any of these characters, all this is OOC knowledge. If you meta-game, I will stab you. And refuse to make you cookies. If you don't trust yourself...don't read the ones pertaining to characters you interact with. It's that simple.

10 Random Facts about Zoyala Colsirdi
1) She's not exactly sure who named her Zoyala, but is reasonably sure it was neither of her biological parents. She has never let anyone other than Lillian call her Zoya.
2) When she was younger, she hated her hair color, as it made it much harder to blend into a crowd. It also earned her the comment more than once "I just gave you some coins yesterday, didn't I? Off with you."
3) When she was first given a room in the palace, she slept on the floor for several nights because she wasn't sure she was allowed to use the bed. Lillian had found out and made sure she was tucked in for the following week.
4) Dornet purposely doesn't speak when other people are around, because Zoyala told him not to. She actively tried keep the number of people who knew he could speak common to a bare minimum.
5) She regrets very much that Mel and Sarin weren't better friends, and that their relationship fell apart when she left. She considers both of them to be her brother and sister, in spirit if not in fact.
6) Though Alaron is her home, her alligeance is much more to Esmeralda than to the country. She has no illusions about where she'd be if it weren't for the Lady and Lillian.
7) No matter what anyone says to her, she will probably always blame herself for Lillian's death.
8) She has grown to care quite a bit about Nathaniel in what, for her, is a relatively short time.
9) She learned how to mix drinks by accident, but has found a knowledge of wine and liquor is sometimes helpful in dealing with the nobility.

2) Once, when she was about eight years old, she asked her mother why her father hadn't come with them when they left Invidia. Her mother had slapped her, burst into tears, and forbidden her to ever speak of it again.
3) The first man she ever killed was in Darkon, when she was 16. He was attempting to rob and/or rape her - she killed him too quickly to find out which. She threw up in an alley directly afterwards and got out of the city as quickly as she could.
4) Anya didn't learn to read until she was 17. She found picking up written languages only a little easier than spoken ones, and still has no idea how Hollis can learn them so quickly.
5) She still feels guilty about leading the outlanders to their deaths in the sewers. She never told Ambrose about the entire episode, partially because of the guilt, and partially because she had no desire to relive such a near death experience.
6) The first time she was pregnant, Anya panicked and couldn't decide what to do for weeks. She actually left the ranch so that Ambrose wouldn't ask her what was wrong, and got rid of the child before coming back. She didn't tell him about it until years afterwards.

3) Juliette actually encountered Aisling at one time before either had been embraced, as the CIA was investigating her brother Jacques as a terrorist. The meeting was brief, but Juliette subsequently found it ironic that they were thrown into the same pack.
4) Her sire had the poor foresight to embrace her just as a massive amount of clan politics broke out. Angry at him and aware that she would just be used as a pawn if she remained, she ran away and lived by herself for several years. When she rejoined the Sabbat, she was very aware of not knowing the traditions of the organization, and has been cautious ever since.
5) Currently, her favorite victims are attractive young men who have been drinking whiskey. It's even better if she's gotten them to drink the whiskey herself, since she can control the brand that way.
6) Disorganization and poor planning skills annoy her to no end. This was a bit of an issue when she was working for the Parti Québeçoise, and more so as a part of Section 8. She deferred to Aisling in the hopes that the Tscimize would be able to impose more order on a chaotic group.

2) When she was eight years old, Rose saw her best friend Annie get hit by a car while crossing the street. She still has nightmares connected to the incident. Neither Michael nor Jason ever asked her about them.
3) Like both her older sisters, she took piano lessons as a little girl. At the first opportunity, she switched to guitar. She learned to play the harmonica just before entering high school.
4) Rose wrote her first song at age 10. It was entitled "Running by Starshine." Her mother saved a copy, but Rose has forbidden her to ever show it to anyone.
5) She smoked a cigarette once, when she 15. She found it disgusting. She doesn't do much weed either; she just doesn't like the idea of smoking in general.

2) Before his growth spurt, he was habitually beaten for lunch money by a kid named Harry. He never told anyone. After the growth spurt kicked in, he fought back. Though he didn't win the fight, Harry never bothered him again.
3) He was always somewhat sorry that he didn't actually get shipped out in World War II, as he feels like he didn't really do his share for the war effort.
4) Celine was the one who taught him to swing dance. She was slightly dismayed when he turned out to be better at it than she was.
5) His first partner was a man named Dick Greenbaum. The older man taught Arthur most of what he knows about detective work. He was killed in the line of duty a year before Arthur got kicked off the force.
6) He's actually a pretty good cook, but doesn't usually bother buying ingredients for just himself.
7) He is a hardcore White Sox fan.
8) Though he threw away everything else, he saved one present from Tonya. It is a framed photograph of the two of them, dressed up for a night out.
